Oceanside got one with "Turn Us Up" from Dezzy Hollow. Perfectly flavored by the music bed from De'la, Dezzy brings that smooth Cali playa vibe...def an anthem to get a backyard boogie started. If you've never experienced one, you're missing out. A signature Cali organic happening across all sections, it's one of those beautiful instances when community comes together and celebrates life. Not saying it doesn't happen elsewhere, that's obvious, what I'm saying is, the Cali version is special in no uncertain terms. Leading his album Eternal Izm, this joint crosses into my #onrepeat category, and I added it to a couple of my personal playlists. The visual is just perfect, bringing back great memories of an impromptu party that brings out the fun side of even the most grumpy! How can you be mad surrounded by palm trees and great weather?! The DP got it right on the video. The biggest part of the fun of this song for me is the way Dezzy digs into the production, fly and musical, and the timing....whew! Not to put too much on it, this is a joint I can put on repeat, and if it were vinyl, probably wear a hole in the grooves. It's fun, and who doesn't need that!
