Layer of the rough stuff applied. I thi k we used Masonry cement or finishing stuff last time so it was smooth. I would like to add that on top... hopefully it will prevent cracking with a nice base like this. The #Quikrete dye is pretty cool too. I may use more charcoal in the mix than reccomended. We also have glow-in-the-dark stones to embed around the outside with the top layer.
