Anatos is Aethon’s dancestor, and the pre-Scratch iteration of the Unburned. Anatos is a free spirit who has no interest at all in conforming to anything that others demand that she has to do. Fortunately her primary habits are unique and interesting enough that they’ve earned her a number of fans as well as something to make a living off of. She’s a performer. As you can likely guess, her performances primarily involve fire. If you want to imagine what her performances are like, a look at any videos on YouTube of “fire spinner” will pretty much give you a spot-on explanation. Being particularly open and friendly, she has little difficulty approaching and talking with others. Though she has a handful of friends that she enjoys conversing with, she doesn’t let many others get too close; lest they get burned. If anyone approaches her angrily, she’s more likely to walk away than she is to fight with them. Anatos’ associated fairy tale is “Godfather Death”, which is the Brothers Grimm tale number 44 for those curious! Anatos is able to associate a candle with the lifespan of those she meets, and she can watch as it gets shorter and shorter over time. When it goes out? That person has died. After several occurences with others dying that she’d tied a candle to, she fully believes in the ability and tells no one. She rarely attempts to see lifespans as a result, but who’s to say she was actually seeing them to begin with? Perhaps it was all just a coincidence. She later becomes matesprits with Crante, settling into a particularly cute and fluffy relationship with him. By the time they get together, they’ve both had a lot of bad experiences behind them. Early on, Vishal auspisticized between Nucell and Anatos, though it didn’t last very long. Also, the dancestor session has another iteration of Anatos from a doomed timeline. Anatosprite. Unfortunately, there’s no fire to her at all… and her sprite self doesn’t even glow. Things are pretty dim for her. I need to actually get around to filling out her page. But after writing this I feel pretty pumped about getting things in order for everyone to read more about her… perhaps sometime before the weekend. :)
