My Brain: Haven’t i suffered enough?!

Gary Miller (born September 15, 1958), better known by his stage name Dr.Know, is the guitarist for one of the first all-black punk bands, Bad Brains. He is one of the best guitarists in punk/hardcore. I’ve been a fan of the band for nearly 20 years. The band is known for its high energy and setting, helping to set the standard of high-energy sounds and shows. Bad Brain was led by singer H.R. and was known for his high energy and wild stage antics, but the necessary guitar work of Dr. Know helped balance it out. The band did more than play punk. They expanded into reggae and metal. At the height of their career, Dr. Know played punk with more “ layers” than most punk bands. Dr. Know was able to adapt to reggae and to metal quickly. Years ago(1999), a friend said,“ People think Agnostic Front wrote the blueprint to hardcore; they didn’t. It was Bad Brian.” Dr. Know’s metal chops are on full display in the album Black Dots and one of my favorite albums, Quickness. Unfortunately, Dr. Know had a bit of a health scare a few years ago but has been back playing the punk music that fans of Bad Brains have grown to love.
Paul D. Hudson (born 11 February 1956), known by the stage name H.R. (Human Rights), is one of my favorite figures in punk, the eccentric and charismatic frontman of the most popular all-black punk/hardcore Washington D.C.-based band Bad Brains. Bad Brains helped coin the phrase “ moshing” and opened the door for more explosive lead singers and wild crowds in punk music. H. R. was known for his high energy while performing with the band and his P.M.A. ( positive mental attitude) in his younger days; he also learned to do a backflip or two during a Bad Brains show. His voice and energy were perfect for the band’s sound. Now, H.R. mostly does reggae/ dub shows; He’s not doing backflips anymore and doesn’t have the same wild energy, but he brings it in other ways.
I had the pleasure of meeting him twice. The first time after one of his shows was in 2005. He was very down-to-earth and quite friendly. I saw him again in 2019, and he was just fun and laid back when I visited him years ago. H.R. is complex and still very simple. A documentary on his life called Finding Joseph shows how he switched from punk to reggae, then back to punk again. It was nice to hear accounts of how he influenced the lives of fans and peers. The most crucial part delves into some mental issues he dealt with and overcame. I knew he had problems but didn’t know the severity. He is a fantastic artist to see live. Band Brains with H.R. may not have been the first all-black punk band; they can bring a solid mix of hardcore/punk, reggae, and metal. H.R. Bad Brains’ music has been among the most influential hardcore/punk bands in the past 40 years, and H.R.’s energy, along with his P.M.A., will always be imitated, never duplicated.

Okay, so, how come i can rewatch the entire avengers franchise over 10 times and never get tired of it, but not sit for a half hour to answer the single question my teachers set me on google classroom?
Darryl Jenifer(born October 22, 1960) is a musician and is best known for playing the bass for one the first all-black punk/hardcore bands, Bad Brians. Jenifer kept the solid "boom, boom, boom" on the bass while matching the energy of the band and especially lead singer H.R. He was more than just another bassist for a punk band ripping through a tune he had lush sounds when he played. You can hear these sounds in a number of their punk stuff, it’s more prominent when the band played their reggae songs and more metal-influenced songs on the albums, Black Dots, and Quickness(a personal favorite). In 2010, he released a solo album entitled, In Search of Black Judas. He has appeared on some VH-1 shows discussing pop culture and music. Currently, he is playing with his band White Mandingos. He was a mentor to the late Beastie Boy MCA who also was a bass player. Darryl Jenifer is an amazing musician and an important figure in punk music.
