Hello! About soulmates, I don't think it has to be written in astrology because me and my person haven't a strong synastry nor composite but we have such a special bond in real life, we're lovers but it's not written in our charts and he doesn't fit my astro placements. So, it's possible to have a life partner, a soulmate not written in the stars/astrology ?
About synastry & composite compatibility:
Astro compatibility doesn't completely rely on the synastry & composite of each other's charts. Yes, it helps. And yes, it explains a lot of your interactions, but no chart is completely left or completely right; meaning that no synastry is completely good or bad.
Likewise; you must have heard that just because you have good synastry with someone or if your charts tell you you're "soulmates" it doesn't translate to being with that person at all or even any actual interaction. I've had amazing composite charts with my favorite authors (who are now long deceased & have been when I even compared my chart with them). I think that compatibility is a part of why we love those public figures & celebrities in the first place. Thats why I believe those charts are conditional.
About partners, soulmates & charts:
With future spouses, soulmates & lovers, I do think that they show up in our charts. Just in unpredictable ways at times & not all are fully elaborated ; at least not from what I know. There are also many ways to find "the one" in your charts. In some, they all point to the same person due to your karma or promise to this person. You can look at soulmate asteroids/ persona chart to look at the possible soulmates you'll encounter, the 3rd, 5th & Venus/Mars placement in your natal for flings, crushes and lovers. Marriage/partnership asteroids/persona charts to see your long-term partner, husband, wife, marriage life. The opportunities are vast.
I can't say any of it is fair, because while some are able to frolic in the grass with one person all their life/their happily ever after, others get into multiple marriages, multiple mistreatments & heartbreaks/divorces. It shows up clearly in some charts more than others ; the tumultuous love affairs & circumstances of your partnerships.

Sometimes, instead of a specific person it shows up as the energy you'll go through with your life. That's why some people choose not to marry even though they do have potential partners for them. For them, perhaps their true love was themselves all along.
I'm not sure what made you think your charts don't align in the first place, but just because you don't have many "true love placements" doesn't mean you aren't meant to be together. There are many ways to read a single chart. I think that's the beauty & unexpected nature of life. With more knowledge, I think we can predict just about anything though. We just need to reconstruct the way we think.
I still believe we end up with people who are meant for us. Whether we meet them young, old or after a crazy life lived mostly without them.
I don't know what's in store for everyone and you must acknowledge that no lives will ever be the same. No love story is cut & dry. All I can say is; keep an open mind towards your life & your future.

I think that's all I can comment on this for now.
Hope this helps ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ !
