Is This Truly It?
Warning: Depressing Rant
Often times, I question why I am a healer. I know how it started. It was an amazing experience and I thought "hey! I did something good and useful!". It stayed that way for a good couple of months. But then, I met the high quality healers, the toxic communities, the randoms, and more. Now, I look around and question is this really worth being support? Especially the days I find myself repeating elitist and toxic healer stuff. I am ashamed to say that I have done a shit ton of things that make me a Bad Healer. I want to be better, but when I start to think I can do this, I fuck up. Majorly. Internet problems, thinking I can do it as a low level, thinking all heal classes are close enough, thinking I have the right to just stop being a team player because somebody does something I don't like, and more. Honestly, I also get stuff where people treat me like they can pat me on the head and patronize me on my girl healers or don't trust me to heal them right on my male healers. Both of those are major triggers of mine; trust and patronizing. But what it really was today was the trust. Things in game and in real life have been compounding. So I post this here in hopes of seeing something good.
