Shadow of Death
That bad Karma; don’t worry its not my Bharma; they put it on me for some reason; probably thought I was causing problems or something like that. Or something. I have a tendency to stand up to the bad guys.

Regina rediscovered her bad-ass self somewhere between Boston and New York.
Her son had wandered off the road to relieve himself. Regina pretended that her hawk-eye wasn't trained on his red back-pack, and she stood with arms crossed ten feet away.
Later, when Regina wrote down a story of the event, in order to 'better process the trauma of it all', (at Emma's urging), she remembered how superhuman she felt.
Some say that she flew. Well, Henry said so anyhow. Regina herself felt like a demon just released from its shackles. When she saw those dead things, screeching toward her child...
Somehow, her hands sliced through dead flesh and still-solid bone. Her feet embedded in skulls, kicking whatever was left of their awareness from the last of their rotting brains.
As soon as it ended, the clean-up began. Emma, nearly screaming with fear, threw buckets of water on Regina, all while begging--pleading--for the blood soaked woman to keep her eyes and mouth closed.
'What the fuck is this?' were Regina's first words. Sopping wet, pink pale and shaking, Regina squinted at Emma and asked again. 'Really. What is this?'
Emma laughed. The sound was strange and perfect in the quiet forest clearing.
After that, they were way more careful on bathroom breaks.
