Stop being fooled by the endless loop of bad-faith arguments. It’s time to cut through the noise.
Picture this: you’re at a Beltane festival, the air alive with celebration and renewal. But just as the fire’s warmth begins to envelop you, someone starts asking for proof that the flames are hot. Again. And again. That’s sealioning for you—demanding endless evidence while ignoring what’s right in front of them. It’s a tactic defenders of ICE often use, sidestepping the mountain of documentation about deaths, abuse, and violations. They ask for more proof, more details, more everything, all while conveniently ignoring what’s already been laid bare.
It’s frustrating, isn’t it? But here’s the thing: you don’t have to play their game. Recognize the tactic for what it is—a distraction, a way to derail meaningful conversation. When someone keeps asking for evidence that’s already been provided, it’s not about seeking truth. It’s about wearing you down.
So, what can you do? First, call it out. Name the tactic. “This feels like sealioning,” you might say. “We’ve already discussed the reports from last week.” (Remember that minor news event about the unexpected rise in sea turtle populations? Yeah, that was real. And documented.) Then, redirect the conversation back to the core issue. “Let’s focus on solutions instead of rehashing the same points.”
It’s about staying grounded, keeping the conversation moving forward, and not getting bogged down in endless, circular debates. Because at the end of the day, it’s about creating a society where everyone feels safe and valued. A society where we can celebrate Beltane without someone questioning the heat of the fire.
So next time you find yourself caught in a sealioning loop, remember: you’ve got the tools to break free. And when you do, you’ll be helping to build a stronger, more honest dialogue. One that’s rooted in truth, not distraction.
Progressive intentional infliction of pain
After five years of Progressive’s mistreatment , I decided to fight back and tell the world that progressive will take your money and shit on you. I have been told to be quiet and be at the mercy of progressive because if i expose them , then I am jeopardizing my case against Progressive. My calculation is that ,for all those years I have allowed progressive to shit on me so what more can they do to me when I tell the truth about their deceptive practices? I have sent out some impertinent posts and tweets about Progressive , now I am pissed off and I will not stop until they rectify this problem. The world knows that insurance companies are awful but Progressive is evil. This company will use every trick in the book in order to break you down. If you get hurt in a car accident, hope you don’t have progressive . Willful and wanton , deceptive practices , negligence ,bad faith , breach of contract , oppression ,intentional infliction of pain , delay , deny , confusion and waiting for you to die is what progressive will use against a victim of a car accident. On July 27, 2010 I was involved in a car accident, I was a passenger driven by my friend in Norwich Ct. This driver was going about 55 miles an hour when he slammed into the rear of the car I was in , mostly on the passenger side. Immediately I felt the impact , I had a concussion. I was not in the wrong because I was not driving . There were witnesses , the driver who caused this accident had no insurance , that explains why he tried to run . I was hurt badly , but I knew that I had progressive for carrier so I assume all would be well. When I card progressive , they told me all would taken care of. The case was easy because I purchased the protections in case something like this happened. Not long into the case progressive started denying their responsibility ,basically they start passing the buck. The lawyer did everything that was supposed to be done in the case but the evil company refused to close the case. We went to court and won a judgement against the bad guy with no insurance. My friend’s insurance made a calculation and settled with the attorney basically in a reasonable amount of time. Now because one driver was uninsured and the other was underinsured , that settlement was not enough , but I had my policy with progressive against the unexpected , so when things like that happen with uninsured and underinsured , progressive is on the hook for the difference. Well my policy language states that if things like that happens Prigressive is on the hook for the remainder of the policy and it states that if there is a judgement against the uninsured driver progressive would be responsible. My lawyer has sent progressive a letter to notify them of the case , first the policy will not be enough to cover and the potential claim of um/ uim. once they know that I would be making a case for the um/uim , a pattern of bad faith and deceptive practices emerged . Remember this people if you buy coverage from progressive , you better read the fine print or better yet don’t buy their coverage . If you ever get injured , progressive will unleash the no conscience salaried attorneys on you , pushing papers , filing every motion in the book hoping that you become destitute and broke just like me. I am warning you , do not fall for those lousy commercials because you will find out the hard way, your death will be the only thing to satisfy these destroyers. Progressive called me every name in the book , contradicting their own policy , bringing confusion into the case, asking a judge to rule on my case and the issue is that whether I filed my complaint I think the applicable statute of limitations , gets to the heart of my claim of whether I have a viable cause of action should resolve this matter in its entirety. This is the bs I am talking about , they stall , they deny , they refuse , they confuse , they breached contract , bad faith , deceit and cheating so later they can ask a judge to shut you down. You see what I am taking about . They will create fictitious statute of limitations using the statutory prohibition of limiting their ability to shorten the time in which a suit may be brought. Their own facts will be in dispute so they can try to mislead the courts , progressive is an evil company . Well In Connecticut the law states you can sue your insurance carrier for cupta/cuipa violations. Since the judge put a a dagger in their case I have not heard from them. My mom has cancer , I thought I would be helping her with those costly drugs , but no I just have to enjoy the time with her because who knows what can happen if you can’t buy your chemo drugs. I had many surgeries including a shoulder replacement . Progressive has made no offers in the case until this past September , I wax offered 5 percent of my policy . The mediation was a circus to me . Prgessive had no intention on settling , instead they used tactics like a small technical issue can lose the case so 5% was a take it or leave it offer. Well my new issue is that I have to get a new attorney , something happened and I am back to having anxiety attacks since I am told to look for another lawyer. Now people I am dealing with all kinds of problems , I have to take medications for pain, which is very addictive , I have to go without all the time , my children have to suffer. I am scared that we may lose our house , it cost a lot to heat up a house in Connecticut . I have been put through the wringer , something I wish in no one . People don’t buy progressive because when you need them , they will not be there for you . You will be ridiculed , and get beat up by the company you pay money to have your back. Nothing has be done , I am pissed off I will not stop telling people about this company’s bad behavior.
