You would have to ask Mother for the exact measurements, seeing as she made it. But I can tell you that it is long enough to accomodate my stature without dragging, or hindering my movements.

In a way. I've found through the centuries that it's much more effective, when striking the ground, to use the whole of my strength and not rely on Mjolnir's magic.
