For anyone who is still somehow confused: calling Shane Dawson's actions predatory is accurate. Asking/coercing/forcing children to do or say inappropriate/sexual things is predatory. Filming it and sharing it online is predatory. Searching for what he admitted he searched for online is predatory. His actions are not misguided humour, they are dangerous. And it goes beyond the things he himself did to and around children. He has groomed who knows how many of his young fans to tolerate, accept and even excuse all of the above. He has manipulated children into defending his actions and they don't even know him. I can't overstate the danger he has introduced into their lives. He doesn't deserve access to children and should be stripped of all his platforms. Period.
