Anyway, I have this theory. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am.

McAvoy and Fassbender will never be cast as Charles and Erik again because they portrayed the characters as too queer. Stewart and McKellen did the same, but their age made them less of a threat to a mainstream audience.

Now the new reboot is aimed at younger viewers, and heaven forbid they should see such a powerful love story between two men.

I hope I’m wrong, but I know I’m probably not.

Instead, they gave the two of them a chance, saw how well they worked together, and since then they have kept them out of every movie they were not contractually forced to include them in. Then they made them disappear.

Coincidence? I really don’t think so.
