The Badenfahrt, the big Swiss rave: “Every 10 years, the notoriously formal Swiss let loose”, writes The Independent about this years Badenfahrt. Whether this is actually true or not can be debated, but the Badenfahrt - which is held in Baden - is one of the biggest festivals in Switzerland, attracting up to a million visitors. the Badenfahrt wasn’t originally ment to be a festival at all, the first edition commemorated the Peace of Baden, the second one was celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Swiss Federal Railways (and the location was chosen by coincidence)

This years Badenfahrt is held from the 18th to the 27th of August 2017.
