Growing up Leilani was never really a bright kid, but she made for it in appearance and her carefree attitude. It was an overstatement that everyone loved her, but she made a habit out of trying to get everyone to like her, even if it meant doing things she was not suppose to. She was lucky she had other siblings to keep the attention off of her as she got into as much trouble as she did. By the age of 13, Leilani was already known for how good she was when it came to the things she did behind closed doors. Though not all of it was the complete truth. Though she was a still a virgin, she wasn’t against participating in other sexual activities and when the rumors got around that she did more she never denied them. She was never really the secure type, which is why she did the things she did. Because of how protective her parents were, she knew they wouldn’t be too happy about if they were to ever hear about it.

[rape tw, depression tw] It wasn’t until her freshmen year in high school, that she started to consider changing her behavior. She wished it was because of her parents, but it was all because of a boy. The boy was able to get Leilani out of her destructive ways and help be the girl her parents always wished she would have been. The girl she use to be would’ve not been to happy with her for being the person she had turned into, but she was doing it for the guy she was sure loved so she didn’t protest to. Though her attitude changed on the situation one day when they were suppose to be studying, and the two of them were fooling around in her room. Leilani didn’t think things would go for nor did she want it to but her boyfriend, the guy she claimed to love took away the only thing she had left. Her innocence. Because of who she use to be, she constantly blamed herself for what happened that day, and kept it all to herself in fear of being seen as a victim. Leilani was never the same after the incident, and she wasn’t surprised when no one really notice her sudden depression. Her not being her usually troublesome self was probably something they favored more than anything.

Although she was a lot more tame now, she still found a way to feel the hole in her heart with partying and sex. She started going out a lot more at the age of 16 thanks to the use of a fake ID, makeup and being a pretty decent liar. It didn’t catch up to her until her grades started suffering for the price of fun, and her parents knew that she wasn’t going to the study groups or the library like she claimed. Leilani knew she was somewhat of a disappointment at this point, but she successfully graduated high school and was proud of herself.

College was always something Leilani was weary about, but she wasn’t that bad when it came to school and if she chose a major she loved, Leilani was sure she would actually have a chance at graduating. Taking the plunge, she applied to Lima University and surprisingly got in. Though she thought continuing to go to school was the best idea, she went there with the same mindset that she had when she left home. She was sure she could keep living a carefree life, but all the partying and the fun didn’t go hand in hand with having classes. It wasn’t like she was failing or anything, it took Leilani having a little dose of reality to get her head on straight, or at least somewhat straight anyways.

Her focus may have been on classes for the first month or so, but after she got the hang of classes she was sure she could get back to her old ways, and she was right. Leilani knew college wasn’t supposed to be for partying, but she never turned down the chance to get wasted and spend the night in a stranger’s bed. It wasn’t her fault that college gave her the opportunity to keep herself distracted from her past. Though her mistakes and alcohol filled nights soon caught up to her when she found out she was pregnant. Being a mom while in school wasn’t something she planned on happening, though she know it was kind of inevitable when it came to how she lived her life. It didn’t help that she didn’t know who the father was either, so she had no plans to tell anyone. LaLa is just going to continue to go to school and hope she can keep everyone in the dark about her pregnancy.
