Ai To Nori
You can actually choose whether to be a yandere or not in this game! I really recommend it. Although itās only in Alpha at the moment, it has multiple endings and plenty of achievements!
As for similarities, a lot of mechanics are similar. Such as the following mechanic. Thereās clear inspiration from yansim, though I donāt want to spoil it. Plus, it has a thing a lot of people like out of yansim, which is unique descriptions for each character, with some even having unique dialogue. Something it has that yansim doesnāt is different tasks for NPCs ;p
Thereās also some pretty interesting lore with a lot of potential for Theories! At the beginning of the game, a group of girls find a mysterious book. Iām pretty sure the book is what gives them violent urges, although you can look at their backstories and see that theyāve all got excuses, hahaā¦
You can actually choose to play as any of these girls. There isnāt character customization, instead you play as a unique character! This doesnāt affect gameplay but itās very interesting.
My main complaint with this game is just the somewhat confusing messages and glitches, but this game is in alpha, so I canāt really judge it.
Lethal Love: A yandere Game
The overall build of this game is *verrry* similar to yansim. It has similar shaders, character models, ect. This game isnāt finished, but it has a few rivals already! You can play each rival at any time, like chapters. Each Rival has their own ācannonā ending, some of which multiple choices, but you can eliminate them however you like. This game isnāt very challenging, but itās a lot of fun to just sit down and play for a few minutes! This game also has achievements, but itās really just a log of all the endings youāve gotten for each rival. Thereās also a free mode and a mode where you can make your own rival! The way it works is very different though. It doesnāt save your progress within days, so if you kill a non-rival student, theyāll be there again when you do the next rival. This is what makes it a nice game to just sit down and play, though!
Although I do think the main character, Kyoko, is already quite cute, thereās also character customization! However each item (including the uniforms, which only change your appearance on the title screen) either costs an ad or real money to use.
*angry rant ahead in this next paragraph*
Speaking of ads, thatās definitely my biggest gripe with the game. Thereās A LOT. You spawn in in your house every day regardless, and once you exit your house to town, you get an add. You can either choose to run across the town, which is useless Except for one shop for one item, every single day. Or you can skip from the menu, which takes you ANOTHER AD. Thatās 2 ads in like 10 seconds. Also, every time you manually restart the day or get caught and have to restart the day, you get a guaranteed ad, which happens a lot more than you think since the days are pretty short and itās easy to dispose of bodies. Most of the time, instead of ending the day and winning, youāll choose to manually restart the day in order to skip a bunch of useless crap and ads. Also, REAL LIFE MONEY FOR A COUPLE OF IN GAME HAIRS?!?!? Thatās insane!!! You also have to watch an unskippable ad to get ANY customization items. And if youāre thinking, āoh, airplane mode,ā WRONG!!!!! If the game canāt play ads, IT FORCES YOU TO QUIT THE GAME, YOU LITERALLY CANT PLAY UNLESS YOU CAN PLAY ADS!!! Itās idiotic. Anyway ik thatās a dumb rant but whatever.
at least the app is somehow rates 12+ despite the blood so you can play it with parental controls ?
High School Simulator 2018
okay so Iām pretty sure all the people who have interest this post know this game already. But if you donātā¦
This game is necessarily a āyandere game,ā perse. Iād maybe call it a āYandere-liteā or something. Itās more of an anime school roleplay game. HOWEVER! You can actually just murder people!
although you have to do something specific. Turn your phone on airplane mode so you donāt have to watch ads, then unlock all the female hairs. That way youāll have all the weapons!! (Oh yeah this game has character customization)
This game is fun and silly and cute. Thereās a love letter in your room that you can give to a student (male or female) you can straight up kill your classmates and get covered in blood and hide the body and wash off in the shower thatās conveniently outside of your home, you can get the cops called on your ass, thereās a gun, magic, you can join clubsā¦ itās cute. Yeah. Haha.
The biggest problem I have with it is that there isnāt much to do. There isnāt much actual interaction with students. There isnāt much of an actual gameplay loop. Closest thing is killing and once youāve killed everyone thereās nothing to do but continuously battle the same cops until the world fades into eternity.
Sakura School Simulator
Same as the last one, this isnāt a yandere game. But itās funny asf, and thereās a LOT to do. Thereās interaction with other students where you can become friends or lovers, you can go to restaurants together, you can go to theme parks together, ect. You can also just fuck around all you want??? I still discover locations I had no idea about. You can run people over with cars, take down you local Yakuza, fight aliens and statues, get beaten up during a theme park show, or honestly just explore.
You Can attack people, but theyāll be revived the next day (and also despise you). Thereās a ton of achievements and a ton of random things you can do. Trust me, itās a lot of fun. Also not too many ads!
The thing I dislike most about it is how, on the mobile version of the game, thereās a lot of stuff thatās just super annoying due to silly solutions to the App Store restrictions. But it also limits gameplay features. Whenever an NPC student is hurt, they turn into a robot and you canāt really fix it??? Same for you, if you get hit even once, you turn into a robot. And you have to teleport to your home to change your outfit if you donāt want to stay as a robot. And when someone is down, they āgo to sleep,ā but it also spawns a futon wherever they died, which is really annoying. It also makes āviolenceā not allowed within the school so you canāt attack people in the school (which can get really annoying sometimes). It forces you to be a robot if you want to fight, which you do a lot in the game. Blech, haha. Itās not really a big deal tho, still a fun game!
(Roblox) Love Letter
This is the last one you can skip it if youāre not interested, but this is a Roblox game. But as for yansim rp games, itās pretty good! It has almost all of the animations in yansim. All the 3D models are in the yansim style, and you can play as any character in the game! Even ones that arenāt actually in the game! And you can use any persona animations and running animations regardless of what character youāre playing as! The complete model for the school is in game, too.
The game also has frequent events and adds new characters that arenāt in the game all the time. It updates pretty consistently.
I guess my biggest problem is that it takes a while to load everything because of the advanced models and the fact itās in fucking Roblox. But also I have terrible internet and the game consistently runs at 60fps so itās better than yansim in terms of optimization. The biggest problem Iāve had is that the UI pictures wonāt load sometimes, and sometimes textures will just fail and wonāt save no matter what. But like what can you expect. Itās Roblox.
Akedmi online is also popular in terms of yansim games on Roblox but I genuinely couldnāt get the game to function properly so I didnāt include it on the list.

there is no way youād look past the sexualization of japanese high school girls in yandere simulator(in which he tried so hard to say theyāre 18 even though theyāre wearing the wrong uniform). he did a poll asking his fans if he should add a inventory ui where ayano would open up her skirt to check all her supplies, had the audacity to do another poll to ask if his fans want it uncensored or not: and when his fans said āno, please censor itā he made a whole essay on how it was necessary???
there were also other disgusting āhot takesā he made that clearly points out heās a pedophile: like the time he argued that there should be a sex license instead of the age of consent??? what the FUCK?
Been a while since i've touched Godot4. I'm noticing an increasing confidence in learning this engine even if i know for a fact i'll never be genious at making 3d games like other people.
Either way here is my updated player controller that has dynamic footstep sounds that match the headbob +dynamic jumping and landing sounds. THought i might tweak them a bit because they're still not looking good enough.
