I am defining a badnik as a series of Eggman's mass produced robots that doesn't have it's own personality.
So while motobugs in general will count, Belle's specific motobug in IDW wouldn't count.
Metal Sonic, Belle, Gemerl, E102 Gamma, etc etc would not count.
MOTOBUG IS ALREADY INCLUDED.

why would you put mototbug and caterkiller together do you even know how to seed a bracket
ok 1) this could’ve been sent to the @badnikshowdown inbox (unless of course it’s closed for some reason? could’ve sworn it was open.)
and 2) i already said in one of my posts that the bracket would be randomized! and it’s randomized because i don’t know how to seed a bracket, so i let fate decide. trust me i did NOT wanna see my dear precious dango go against splats.
Alright here it is! The badnik matchups will be under the cut with brief descriptions of them! The first set of polls will be posted tomorrow, Saturday, March 11th, at 1 pm PST.
Dango - A pillbug badnik from Sonic CD, and made another appearance in Sonic Mania
Splats - A bunny badnik that hops on a spring. A scrapped badnik from Sonic 1 that stayed behind in the code, made its first official appearance in Sonic Mania
Egg Pawn Bunny vs Sandworm
Egg Pawn Bunny - A variation of the Eggpawn, jumps on a pogo stick and has rabbit ears, appears in Sonic Rush
Sandworm - A spiked purple centipede like badnik in Sonic 4: Episode II. Not to be confused with the blue, caterkiller like badnik of the same name.
Gohla vs Magma Worm
Gohla - A sphereical badnik protected by rotating fireballs that appears in Hill Top Zone of Sonic 2. Very similar to a Orbinaut. Also known as Sol.
Magma Worm - A worm that pops out of the wall in Toxic Caves in Sonic Spinball. Worm Bagged!
Ginpe vs Bu-Bu
Ginpe - A top hat wearing penguin badnik. Appears in Twinkle Snow in Sonic Advance 3
Bu-Bu - A piggy bank badnik. Appears in Toy Kingdom from Sonic Advance 3
Motobug vs Caterkiller
Motobug - A one wheeled, ladybug like badnik. First appeared in Sonic 1
Caterkiller - A purple spiked caterpillar badnik. First appeared in Sonic 1
Madmole vs Rhinotank
Madmole - A mushroom flinging mole that first appeared in Mushroom Hill Zone in Sonic & Knuckles. A variant appears in Flying Battery Zone from Sonic Mania.
Rhinotank - A turquoise rhinoceros badnik. First appeared in Sonic Adventure. Not to be confused with Rhinobot from Sonic 3.
Amy Doll vs Beatal
Amy Doll - A small badnik resembling Classic Amy Rose, very similar to Tails Doll. Appears in Sonic Mania.
Beatal - A badnik with a spiked club on it that appears in Amazing Arena from Knuckles Chaotix.
Buzz Bomber vs Rexon
Buzz Bomber - A blue wasp badnik that shoots at you from above. First appeared in Sonic 1
Rexon - A pink badnik resembling the Loch Ness Monster. Appears in Hill Top Zone of Sonic 2
