An offended look crossed her features as she gazed up at the mech, completely unimpressed with his attitude. However, she didn't say anything in challenge. Why bother? She wasn't interested in arguing with him, but his last comment made her pause.
Was he threatening her or just making idle chatter? She was going to hope for the less dead outcome and nodded with a weak smile. "Yeah… better late than never," she shrugged.

Dark, heavy clouds hung over the junkyard making the colour of the sky above undistinguishable from the gravel underneath her feet. Weird as it may have been, such type of weather was her favourite, the danger of rain successfully scaring people from staying outside. Wrapped into abundance of clothing (she wasn’t the best with cold), the scrawny looking girl walked around the junkyard, stopping every so often to pick up any garbage trinket that caught her eye.
Her mildly cheerful attitude did not last long however; over the years she had developed a sort of ‘sixth sense’. If there was anyone around, shivers going down her spine would let her know. Feeling the level of paranoia increasing already, Mephys nervously chewed on her hair - it was a bad habit, certainly an welcomed one as a quiet, irritated grumble drew from her mess of a hair.
