The day started as usual over the last week: First very wet, but once I leave it dries up and gets friendlier. The hike up to Kleine Scheidegg started out brutal, straight uphill. The path seems more moderate only for a few brief times but that means you’re up on top quite quickly. We made it well under 3h. The descend is quite steep as well but quite a bit longer, still it posed no problem and we took the Kernen-S swiftly. We started the day with a ride in the Reichenbach Falls funicular to see Sherlock Holmes’ alleged death place. The weather was unexpectedly well-disposed and we made the trip over the Grosse Scheidegg pretty much dry.
