So, my delightful witchy darlings, this evening I had an experience. Whilst casting within my circle under the full moon (a simple spell for boosting clairvoyance and prophetic dreams) on the last word of my third chant of said spell my crystal bowl exploded. Literally shattered upwards and out raining crystal shards everywhere. Granted it was cold outside and I had it surrounded by candles, but I've used this bowl for years in similar rituals and even burned sage and incense in the darn thing. It was one of those big half inch thick cut crystal antique bowls that go for quite a pretty penny but I had the fortune of inheriting, in other words very well made and hard to break. Aside from being devastated about the loss of my ritual bowl, I can't decide if this is a weird sort of positive sign of my growing ability or just a very very bad sign. Thoughts? Any of you have weird experiences while casting?
