Ansur Isle

One of my projects, The Isle of Ansur, will be text-based RPG taking place in Baedoor universe. But one could wonder what the name of this game even means. So let’s explain this concern! 🏞️│Ansur is island located between Moon Continent and Anahsahei, and wasn’t colonised until first years of New Era.

When event called as Exodus happened, mass emigration out of Anahsahei started, mostly aiming west, despite frequent storms in that area, and many tales of monsters living in the seas. The latter turned out to be false - sailors of ships coming from Anahsahei were baffled to see such a wonderful place to live! Therefore, some of emigrants decided to build homes on the island, which gave birth to Evros city. Centuries later, when Baedoor Empire has fallen, Ansur became independent country and started benefitting from being in great location and rich in some specific resources.

What the name stands for, you ask? Ansur comes from jitadish ans sur which basically means “land of hope” and reflects feelings sailors had encountering this island.

🎎│As a player, you will get there during tensions between Ansur governor and vineyards’ owners, which create strong power over the island, almost equal to the official laws. There won’t be much cruelty going on, but political affairs will sometimes get intense.

This time shameless self promotion. Wastelands of Baedoor, my mod adding steampunky airships and firearms, almost reached 1500 downloads on CurseForge ♡ I’m kinda terrified thinking back, how much courage working on this mod gave me over this half of a year. But I’m even more excited to think what will be next. As always with my projects, the more I finish, the more is planned, because working on something you love always turns out to be extremely inspiring by itself. Neverending journey (but this is what’s life, right?).
