I'm in a band now
I'm skipping class to tell myself that I don't need economics to determine the utility of playing music. It doesn't come from marginal externalities or opportunity cost. It comes from slapping strings in smooth serendipity under beaming lights bobbing your hair to an entity invisible until you hit that right note. I'm in a band now. No longer bound by financial statements and excel spreadsheets that fill my head with unbridled anxiety. Watching the video playback, on a fast track, never going back, to counting fat stacks of blood money. Honey... I'm in a band now.
