DC-6 Diner Entrance Ramp (by Nik Sibley)

I've put a set of photos from this new restaurant - inside and out- on my Flickr here (I'll put a few of those on Tumblr too).

What is DC-6 Diner?

It's a new restaurant opened at Coventry Airport inside a converted Douglas DC-6 aircraft.

This actual aircraft, G-SIXC, was the cargo designed DC-6A spec. She was built in 1958 in California.

In 1987 she was bought by Air Atlantique of Coventry and operated until her final flight in 2006 when she returned home after featuring in the film Casino Royale. Her last commercial flight was in 2004.

No longer airworthy, it was opened a few months ago as a stylish yet unique restaurant which, although not very well know is still becoming very popular.
