WFH buddies: Current vlogs I listen to while hustlinnnn

We’re halfway through 2021 and isolation is still a big thing. While it’s ideal for most introverts, it’s still nice to have something to listen to and keep you entertained while working, especially those who work graveyard.

So I made a list of what I call WFH buddies, which are vlogs/podcast, actually, more like “vlogcasts” as all of them are from Youtube. I am looking for recommendations as well, and also interesting radio shows/actual podcast that you know-HMU.

By the way, these are not ranked and each channel will be linked under the images :D 

1. TRUE CRIME DAILY

Visit True Crime Daily on Youtube! 

I grew up watching and loving horror movies. Now being an adult, also comes the realization that the true horror lies in the real-life crime stories. Some of them are even more unbelievable than fiction! 

A missing person’s phone dialing 911, DAYS after disappearing. A woman murdered and set to look like a suicide by the police who “discovered” her, turns out she’s carrying his baby. That and other crazy stories. 

Also, if true crime does not make you a more cautious person, I don’t know what will. This world is a dark place and you never know how someone’s brain works and capable of doing unimaginable crimes to unfortunate people. 

2. DISTURBAN

Also running a true crime channel, this youtuber’s fast-rising subscriber count is justified by the intense, shocking, really gruesome stories you’ve probably never heard! I find myself wincing most of the time while listening, as he really goes through the graphic descriptions of the events. Junko Furuta kind of descriptive stories. Though he doesn’t show much gruesome pictures or videos, most of his uploads are demonetized due to being narratively graphic. If you like true crime, you should definitely check his channel out!

3. BAILEY SARIAN

Honestly, I was kinda late on the Bailey Sarian hype. I only found her channel after my friends posted it because of the Chris Watts case on Netflix. Apart from true crime content, I also like Bailey’s personality and her way of story-telling. She makes crime stories sound like a high school gossip LOL. But still, you’ll be compelled to listen as you watch her do her make-up equally good. She also started new podcast on spotify titled Dark History and I’m hoping she will produce more.

Side note: I once recommended her channel to a guy friend and he found the doing the make-up part distracting. This is interesting because I’m seeing gameplay commentaries on Youtube which I would assume a lot of guys are watching. And they don’t get distracted watching the gameplay while listening to a different topic! Hehe

4. WATCHER

You might know these guys from the infamous Buzzfeed Unsolved series. Their banters are the best and they have really good dynamics as duo. Ryan, being a believer of ghosts while Shane being the total opposite. I heard that they’re leaving Buzzfeed after the final Unsolved season and currently they have this new channel called Watcher. I loved the Buzzfeed Unsolved True Crime series but I don’t think they will be able to do that in Watcher. Still, they have pretty good content ranging from scary true or fictional stories, and other light-hearted, humorous vlogs.  

Side note: Buzzfeed Unsolved Network channel is up and producing interesting content as well!

What is up EWU CREW? Another true crime lol. This should’ve been an exclusive TC channel list I know. They also have really crazy stories that I have not heard before, some even chilling ones. There’s always something about missing persons cases that creeps me out but I find very fascinating. If you feel the same, go check their channel for some really good content.

6. PSYCH IRL

Taking a break from true crime this time. Lately, I’ve been listening to this channel discuss the current events involving today’s biggest Youtubers. She makes really good, factual points about interesting topics such as cult mentality among content creators, burnout, cancel culture and many more. Even if you don’t follow most of the creators she talks about, she still has very insightful presentations that can be applicable to how people behave on the internet, how influencers do their thing, their impact on the viewers and vice versa.

So these are the channels I listen to these days. I might make another list with “TEA”  reporting theme, weird history and other trivia channels. If you know some with similar content, let me know! :)

This is what I've been working on for forever! Any other Bailey Sarian fans? Jackie got me into her back in June, and I am o b s e s s e d.

I dunno why, but Bailey seems like a purple and gold kinda girl. Maybe I was just tired of blue--I don't use purple too often and I don't know why. I also did this on 18 count hand dyed BLACK aida because I obviously hate myself and want me to suffer. I'm my own worse enemy.
