And now it's time to panic about the Bain Fire :(((
Which is close enough to see.
It has leapt from 20 acres when we first noticed it this morning to 100 acres as of last update.
And wind is blowing it toward us :/
We're apparently up 340% year over year this Fire Season.
Fire has been a serious problem in southern California my entire life. But nothing like the last few years. Climate change has truly given us a Fire SEASON.
It would be really "nice" if we - as the people who actually live here - could maybe, I dunno, do something about that. Yes, that is me being sarcastic. We've had so very many opportunities to act against climate change and we've just blown by them without even waving. I'm pretty sure that there are still people who don't believe that climate change is a thing.
And this is me just selfishly screaming into the void, I know.
There is a near infinite list of other people suffering. Almost always more.
But I have to sit here on the computer and pay attention. So... kvetching it is.
