Make-up Mondays: My February Birchbox
After several months of being a Birchbox subscriber I have finally arrived at the decision to part ways. I honestly have not really received any products that I would even consider repurchasing aside from Benefit’s Fake Up and Camille Beckman’s Glycerine Hand Therapy in Midnight Monarch. Aside from this reason, the sample sizes I have received have been extremely small in comparison to other monthly subscriptions available for purchase. Nonetheless, I am providing you with a full review of my February Birchbox.
1. Bain de Terre Passion Flower Color Preserving Shampoo and Conditioner:
While this paraben free formula claims to keep your mane strong and healthy by nourishing its strands with argan and monoi oils, protecting and repairing color treated hair all while keeping its color vibrant, I found it to work satisfactorily. While this shampoo and conditioner duo appears to do its job, I will most likely not be repurchasing this shampoo and conditioner duo because I have already found my “Holy Grail,” hair care, DevaCurl which I have been completely faithful to since I have discovered it.
2. Caudalie S.O.S. Morning Eye Rescue
While this S.O.S Morning Eye Rescue cream made with antioxidant grape water and hyaluronic acid makes claims to quickly depfuff and soothe, I have not yet noticed a difference in my under eye puffiness and dark circles. However, I will continue to use this product routinely in hopes of seeing a difference in my under eye puffiness and dark circles as these are issues and or problems I have been dealing with as of late.
3. OPI Sheer Tints in I can Teal You Like Me
I really had high expectations for this product which has only led to my complete and utter disappointment with it. I tried the product both alone and over polish and did not like the look of either at all. Aside from not liking the color, I feel like the formula is too thick to achieve a subtle tint or translucent wash of color.
In my February Birchbox, I also received two Harney and Sons Fine Tea Wrapped Sachets which I have not had the opportunity to drink yet. I love tea so I am sure I will enjoy them.
What did you receive in your February Birchbox? What monthly subscriptions do you recommend?
