USE YOUR TOOLS / ACCOMMODATIONS!!!
Context- I was getting my teeth worked on today- were autistic and easily overstimulated by noise if we're tired so we brought our noise canceling headphones with us, and it worked like a charm. We were calm the entire time and got through the appointment quick and easy!
That experience would've been so much more distressing and overwhelming if we didn't have our NC Headphones
Please look out for yourself like a friend would
It's not selfish to want the best for yourself, and having aids should never be embarrassing 🫂💕
does anyone know a way to get things like a cane or forearm crutches without a diagnosis and without much money in america? i don't have a job or any way to really get steady income because of my disability and age and i can't get a diagnosis right now for personal reasons but i still would like to have some kind of supports like these to help with being disabled
if anyone knows a way to get access to these kind of things please let me know i'm fucking suffering TvT
I fucking HATE Donald Trump. I hate him and I have sooooo much horrible things to say about him but I will never use ableism as to express that hate. Using ableism against ppl u hate makes you ableist.

I deserve to be safe and have access to all spaces and the fact I don't is atrocious and most ppl arn't talking about it and only notice inaccessibility once they themselves lose access to a thing/space.
Talking to another disabled person and their only complaint about their disability is "ppl saying I'm faking is so annoying." Sits a little wrong with me tbh

apparently my neuropsych papers were good to give because the fact I've been hospitalized and get debilitating episodes gave me assignment extensions to use.
