YAAAAAAAY PIKACHU
Story Time!
One time a group of friends held a surprise birthday party for my 21st birthday.
Except it wasn’t really a surprise because obvious gift questions and things like “When are you free to come over? We’re gonna, um, watch a movie I guess maybe. Unless you don’t want to watch a movie. Come over anyway, there’s gonna be a group of us. We’ll have food. And games. But not like a party.”
So I show up on the appointed date and time, if not ten minutes late, and knock on the door. First thing I hear is a super loud, super drunk “OH MY GOD SHE’S HERE SHUT UP.” and then I walk in. And then my friends, who were all drunk by the time I got there, threw things at me and blew noisemakers in my face. To say it was a great party would be an understatement because it was that awesome.
Except the ice-cream cake they got melted.
GOOD MORROW TO YOU, FRIENDS
Ask me questions, I'll tell you stories, you tell me stories. It's story time. Around a not-so-camp-fire.
COME JOIN ME
I am kind of super stoked for Star Wars…Join me in my revelry.
My my, what have we here? A new video? Better watch it.
My western civ class was talking about the effects that the black plague had on the survivors and the fact that the whole obsession with death and paintings like the Danse Macabre thing kept going on for over 200 years after the last known big incident. My professor mentioned something about having expectations about the future based on events in the past. For example, the fact that new Cubs fans are expecting them to win the world series in baseball but older fans don't have their hopes up because they haven't won in 100 years, etc.
I blurted out "I am expecting us to have hover cars and hover boards by October 21st, 2015 because Back To the Future II has raised my expectations since I first saw it. The Cubs should win the world series by then."
The room was silent.
And then we started a debate on the plausibility of actual hover boards and how to make them.
