@catbradleyyoga I get asked quite often whether I'm called Cat or Lorraine.... I answer to both (or anything really 😂) it all started when I joined Instagram back in 2014 I had my YTT done and wanted to start an Instagram page but was too shy (because believe it or not this Yoga world is VERY judgemental🙈) and I knew my practice wasn't strong enough and I knew there would be teachers judging me and my lack of abilities so I signed up using my birth name Cathriona and my married surname Bradley. I figured less people would know me by that name. I obviously shortened it to Cat 😉 . . 🐾What lured me to IG was in fact 'crow pose', I wanted to document my progress and this was my second ever post on IG and I held it for maybe a second. My caption even said \"getting stronger in my crow pose\" so I was damn proud of that micro second. I did progress quite quickly in this pose as it was my fav to work on back then. Eventually hitting a plateau, so now working on that damn press! I've made progress here by being able to come back down from it, normally I lose it after the hs. Still stuck with my strap but it is my stretchy one so that's progress too I guess. ✌ . . 🌱Moral of this story is enjoy being a beginner, because those moments of progress keep getting less and less as time goes on, there are fewer celebrations and more frustrations... trust me 🙈 . 🤓I do have a ton of tips for this pose, I teach this to brand new beginners believe it or not, it's accessible to everyone, let me know if you need some help here and with which element and I'll do a post for you. 💙 . . This is for #ayearofyoga2017 with @cyogalab (yeah I know I skipped a few days 😂😂) #yoga #bakasna #yogaprogress (at Yogi in the Light)
