"Oh, fuck him," Buck mutters, stopping in the middle of the sidewalk, frozen and staring at the annoyingly beautiful display of rainbow cakes in the window of the Diaz Bakery, "that little shit got his pride display up before me!"
He's still standing there, staring like an idiot with his mouth open and his brow pinched when the asshole himself appears in the window, notices Buck, and smiles, sending him an awkward little wave.
Buck waves back and tries to ignore the way his heart flutters; everything would be so much easier if Eddie was an asshole.
