After the funeral.
Charlee: So she’s gone? Rachelle: Yeah, she was brought to the hospital this morning and didn’t make it. I’m sorry Charlee-bear. Richard: She loved you a lot Charlee. Charlee: When is the funeral? Rachelle: Tomorrow.
The room was in complete silence as Charlee’s parents tried to console her. Their warm embraces envelop her in love that she needed at the news of her grandmother passing. Hard to believe that a woman who had helped raised Charlee would no longer be around. There would be no more Saturdays at Gramgrams, baking until they were out of flour. She had been a caregiver and role model to Charlee. But since she went to college she felt that she hadn’t spent enough time with her. And now she never would.
Richard: Charlee, Gramgram wanted you to have this.
He held a vanilla envelope for her. To my beloved granddaughter, Charlee Madison. She felt her eyes burn with hot tears the crept down her cheeks. She turned the letter over but couldn’t bring herself to open it.
BIG THANKS to my @shyysims for making these poses for me. I searched forever for something that would work and she’s a goddess with Blender. Please give her love.
He told me to take a seat as he went to the counter. He ordered me a hot chocolate and cannolis. There was a silence at the table as he watched me bite awkwardly into the flakey pastry. Eventually, he asked, “What were you doing alone in the graveyard?” But he knew the answer. “Saying goodbye to my grandmother,” I said poking the hard flakey cylinder. He gave his apologies for my lost, we sat in silence a bit more. “I know it isn’t going to help but things do get better. And it’s alright to miss her.” “I haven’t even lost a pet before. I’m just confronted with my mortality.” He sat with a smirk on his face now. “There ways around mortality.” I stared at him confused. “It’s a heavy topic much suited for after your grieving. You’ll just have to adjust to a life without her. Start by reading that letter.” “How did you--” “I saw you fiddling with it in your purse. Not like the news can get any worse right?” “That is true.” He rose from the table still holding his smile. “I do need to take off. But do remember to smile.” I couldn’t help but let the corners of my mouth flare upwards. “Um... will I see you again?” “I do hope so, Charlee.” “I-I didn’t catch your name.”
“Eli, Eli Vatore.”
GeekCon, San Myshuno Art District
Planning for weeks for the Con, Alice convinces Charlee to do a couple cosplay. It hardly takes any convincing. Charlee a geek at heart and Poison Ivy paired with Harley Quinn was perfect.
9:02 pm, The Bickery Food Market
Damon: Let’s celebrate your promotion, Charlee. Charlee: Oh guys, we don’t have to. It’s just a job. Damon: But it’s what you always wanted right? Full-time teacher. Full-time paycheques? Alejandro: Congrats sweetheart. Charlee: Thank guys. Damon: A toast to Charlee. The best primary teacher at Newcrest Elementary!
Cheers.
