meditating on how well jun mochizuki portrays different kind of women.
in ph ada seems to be the weakest, and in the end her compassion becomes her greatest strength when it comes to connecting with others. sharon is also deemed to be useless in battle, even though equus gives oz and the others a strategic advantage on multiple occasions; she’s quite emotional in the beginning, too, crying often when she finds herself in a stressful or frustrating situation, but proves to have matured by the end of the story. shelly is a stoic yet affectionate matriarch, lottie is cunning and determined and so is noise, who’s also extremely devoted to the kindness vincent showed her; echo starts as an aphatetic character, a mindless doll, and slowly becomes an independent thinker with wishes of her own.
in vnc both jeanne and domi are introduced like canon/unrequited love interests for the main duo, but as the story unravels there’s actually more to them than it meets the eye. especially with jeanne finding out what loyalty and bonds are really about, and starting to believe that her feelings and desire actually do matter; while for domi it’s about not dwelling on her past and mistakes and learning to accept them as they are, acknowledging that she’s worthy of being alive and loved for who she really is.
in conclusion. women
