Would YOU go Bald for Bieber?

So it’s a world-wide facts that some fans will go above and beyond for their favourite music stars, copying hairstyles, wearing similar clothes, owning a pair of shoes because Hayley Williams has a pair and If I wear them, I’ll feel a little bit closer to Hayley… Ok, that last one is just a personal anecdote.. But seriously – we all know someone who has bought the same hand bag as Kim Kardashian, or got their hair done to look just like Zoe Deschanel, But would you go as far as shaving your head for the one you idolize most?

Recently, a global internet hoax that claimed Justin Bieber had been diagnosed with cancer, created a whole new wave of Bieber Fever, seeing devoted fans shaving their head in support of their favourite pop idol to make it through this difficult point in his life.

Tuesday of last week, a photoshopped “tweet” from the verified Entertainment Tonight account tweeted a matter of fact statement “Pop Star Justin Bieber was diagnosed with cancer earlier this morning. Bieber fans are shaving their heads to show their support” soon after the faux tweet went live, photos of bald teens sporting the hashtag #BaldforBieber started appearing, along with another fake tweet from the Biebs himself reading “Several of my AWESOME supporters are shaving their heads to help get me through this! I love my fans! #BaldforBieber”

Obviously, before you could blink the hashtag was a trending topic and videos and photos of balding fans started popping up all over the internet – though, these pictures and videos could easily be of bald teens who lost their hair for non-Bieber related reasons.

With only a couple of Bald For Bieber fan photos (that look easily fake) popping up on the internet, I hope that none of our mobbers were caught up in the elaborate hoax.. But it still makes me wonder, would any of you actually go bald for Bieber?
