Gender and Sexuality: Cis female; bisexual with a strong preference for women.Pronouns: she/herEthnicity/Species: Human, white, Canadian origins.Birthplace and Birthdate: April 11, 2154; born on some Alliance ship, somewhere in the Inner Council Space.Guilty Pleasures: Cheesy love movies from 20th and 21st century; scented candles in pastel colors. Phobias: First main phobia is water as lakes, sea, ocean, etc. She has always seen open space and seas/oceans as extremely similar but opposites at the same time. In both, you can’t breathe, no one will help you if you’re alone, and you’re in the middle of a nothing that contains everything that could kill you. The main difference is that, by 22nd century, humans can easily (”easily”) communicate with aliens and travelling in space is easy, but sea and abyssal creatures? They’re still a big, scary mystery, it’s not clear if you can communicate with them and she never heard or read of anyone exploring waters as easily as space. Second main phobia is being a bad, a terrible parent in the future. She received a wonderful example by both her parents but probably, in her opinion, it’s been in part a matter of luck, since she followed her parents’ military path. The phobia became stronger after failing to help Samara and Thane with their children, and even deeper after the first Reapers’ attack on Earth. What They Would Be Famous For: Other than saving the galaxy, probably her courage and the way her stubborness makes her almost unstoppable, along with a good and caring heart but no way she’s allowing someone to step over her. What They Would Get Arrested For: Most probably because she scared to death some merchant or some rude/aggressive citizien or something like that. Not listening to the Council and throwing a shoe at them, failing to save colonies or cities or stuff like that, or accidentally or involuntarily killing too many innocent people in order to save something or someone else. OC You Ship Them With: None yet.OC Most Likely To Murder Them: Ayani probably? They’re quite similar but Ayani in angrier and more bitter, and Eden would probably piss her off very quickly. I doubt someone could actually kill Eden tho.Favorite Movie/Book Genre: Fantasy, 20th/21st sci-fi and adventure movies always entertain her, even tho she forgets a lot of titles and stories (+ see Guilty pleasures). On the book side, however, she’s never really been a book person. She’s read various books during her school years but none of them was interesting enough to make her start reading. Nevertheless, once in a while se enjoys soldiers’, war veterans’ and similar figures’ biographies and human’s and aliens’ culture and history books (most of them read during school and military training years).Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: Not that she ever really cared about clichés or anything, but with time she started to be really annoyed by the idea of the “Chosen one” cliché, mostly because she met various people who believed she was, in fact, the Chosen One to save the galaxy from Saren/the Collectors/the Reapers, not considering the years and years of trainings, battles and dead friends that brought her to where she is now.Talents and/or Powers: Very very good aiming, nothing special. (+ can Tactical Cloak be considered a power? I guess so?)Why Someone Might Love Them: She’s really caring with people she loves and almost never lacks empathy. She’s also very brave (actually she is extremely scared by a lot of things she must face but she finds strenght in her terror) and her strong stubbornness brings a lot of advantages, most of the time (basically the same things she would be famous for).((Also have you seen some of the screenshots I have of her expressions. Pure gold.))Why Someone Might Hate Them: When put under stress, threatened or angry, she becomes very impulsive and goes Full Renegade™ which is not always a good thing. Also, her stubbornness brought(?) her a lot of enemies. How They Change: She doesn’t change very much through the years, her ideas and morals remain pretty much the same for her whole life. However, she softens a lot after 2183 because of all the stuff she and the Normandy crew go through, especially Virmire and the feelings she develops for Liara. Why You Love Them: BASICALLY everything I just wrote. Plus her ME2/3 appearance and the dumb expressions I always catch in game. And her Italian voice actress in ME3? Let’s talk about it. She’s PERFECT. Her voice is so firm and renegade but can also be the softest voice I’ve ever heard, or at least one of them. And the fact that she’s my first Mass Effect charatcter, and I just can’t see any other Shepard being as… protagonist, as Shepard as she is actually does a lot. I would love her so much even if she actually was the most boring character ever, I’m too emotionally attached to her now.
