Ring Flip (cyclohexane)

In organic chemistry a ring flip brings axial atoms equatorial and vice versa. look at the placement of the red atoms and the big carbon atoms in the center. the chair conformation remains while the atomic placement  changes, pretty rad!

Here is a 3D “ball and stick” model of Benzene (C6H6) I’ve created in Meshmixer. Surprisingly, this model was easy to produce in the Meshmixer program. Meshmixer has pre-existing geometric shapes that can be used to assemble the separate pieces together. I chose to do a chemical compound because it is commonly found in natural gases that relate to math, science, and nature.
