I know two dolls is not a 'Trend' yet but I've noticed some neat similarities between the Scarah Screams Skullector and now Fang Vote Abbey;

Fun with Patterns

Interesting and varied fabric choices

Strong and unique shape language

And I do hope they keep that energy up for future releases.
