“Hey, Sav! You look beautiful today! How are you doing?” Balo greets Sav, walking over to join the other girl. She wasn’t exactly sure what the best course of action was with her, to act as if everything was normal despite what had been revealed, or to give her the space she seemed to need for the meantime. But she liked hanging out with Sav, so it didn’t hurt to try, right? And if the other girl made it clear that she still needed space, Balo could try to give it to her. “I was wondering if maybe you’d want to hang out? Go get coffee? I don’t know about you, but I’m still trying to work through the jet lag. Hopefully, it’ll go away soon, though!”

Sav looked up when she heard someone calling her name, offering Balo a small smile. “I’m fine,” she said warily. If it was anyone else, she would assume there was some ulterior motive here, but since it was Balo....she genuinely just thought the other girl was trying to be nice, though it still made Sav’s cynical side come out the slightest bit. It’s not like her and Balo were all that close. “Umm...sure,” she said, shrugging her shoulders slightly. “I never say no to coffee,” she added. Her interactions with Zander had been less than pleasant recently, but luckily Balo seemed to be the exact opposite of her brother. Plus, Sav figured Balo was actually a decent buffer from anyone else at school. As far as she knew, everyone liked Balo. “Caffeine’s always a good idea if you’re still jet-lagged.”

Gemma had offered Balo a chance to come over if she had wanted to clear her head after everything that happened - she had felt awful for the other girl, even though she had briefly debated voting for her even though she didn’t know Elliot at all, just because.....Balo always seemed to have it so together. Ever since they had first met, when Gemma had been a freshman at Luxor Academy, something about the other girl had just highlighted her worst insecurities. So yeah, she had made some passive aggressive snarky comments designed to make Balo feel shitty, not that Balo had ever picked up on it - and she had never said anything to Zander, seemingly, who was the one person who probably could’ve made Gemma stop. But she never expected Balo to still let things like that bother her this many years later, not when she had gone to treatment over it. Though maybe Gemma should’ve known better, considering the problems she dealt with on the daily. But still. She had a mixture of pity and self-satisfaction from the other girl’s situation, not that she’d ever admit that.

The two blondes were sitting together in Gemma’s dorm room, Gemma scrolling through instagram and then tik tok and then back to instagram - as she often was - when she looked up at Balo, wondering if she had been polite and waited long enough before she could start asking questions. “B?” Gemma started, tipping her head to one side. “Do you want to talk about it yet? I mean.....that’s not why I told you you could come over, but I feel like we should talk about it.”

Loren saw Balo out of the corner of her eye, pausing for a moment before she decided now was the perfect time to approach the younger girl. She didn’t know Balo that well - but she did know that she was Helena’s exes younger sister. Convoluted, maybe, but Loren was nothing if not resourceful, and trying to figure out her cousin was at the top of her priorities right now. “Hey B,” Loren greeted breezily as she got closer to the blonde. “I’m dying for someone to go out exploring with me, check out the local shops and such - any chance you wanna be that someone?” After all, there was no time as good as shopping for some girl talk. “Lunch could be my treat.”
