A Mew floats over. "Hey, could I please have a bubble and a sparkly necklace? A big bubble, specifically."
“But I should say this. I’m not supposed to give our my necklaces to everybody who asks. When my ancestors traveled around the world a long time ago, they would bless these necklaces with the power of the ocean with the ritual I want to do and give them to their best friends they met as gifts. Mother and Chief Makai both always believed the world was a lot scarier back then, but because they were always travelling, my ancestors couldn’t be there to protect their friends all the time. So these necklaces they made were the next best thing.”
Leilani smiles at the Mew. “I’m sure you’re really, really nice, and I’d love to be your friend. But our necklaces are made to be given to our best friends. I can give you a necklace, but I can’t bless it yet, because I don’t really know you that well yet. And besides, nobody has done this ritual in like a thousand, hundred years, and I want to see if I can do it."
Leilani sits up, takes a deep breath, and blows another massive bubble. She also searches for a necklace, one made of what appears to be parts of a Fire and Thunder Stone. She presents both to the Mew. “Here you go! When we become better friends, I’ll be happy to bless this.”
“And the same goes for anyone else I give necklaces to!”
