Indulge in the savory delight of a bacon burger elevated to new heights with a sweet and tangy bacon onion balsamic jam. Perfectly grilled patties, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar cheese create a burger experience like no other.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 8 slices of bacon. 1 large red onion, thinly sliced. 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup ketchup. 4 lettuce leaves. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set the pan on medium-high heat and cook the bacon until it's nice and brown. Take it off and let it dry on paper towels. In the same pan, add the thinly sliced red onion and cook for about 10 minutes, until the onion turns caramelized. Add the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar and stir them in. Let the mixture thicken and cover the onions for about 5 minutes. Take it off the heat. Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready. While the grill is getting hot, add salt and pepper to the ground beef and form it into four patties. To get medium-rare, grill the burger patties for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side. In the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each one. On the grill, toast the buns for one to two minutes, until they are lightly browned. Put the ketchup and mayonnaise in a small bowl and mix them together to make a sauce. Put the burgers together: Put a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Then add a burger patty with cheddar cheese on top, two slices of bacon, a lot of bacon onion balsamic jam, and a drizzle of the mayo-ketchup sauce. Place the other half of the bun on top and serve right away.
