HEY real quick anyone know if Romuva is closed or semi-closed? If so, is it only open to Baltics/Lithuanians raised in the culture or is it also open to people of Baltic descent?
I saw someone claiming Baltic practises as a whole were closed to nonbaltics but I can’t find any other info confirming this.
February 24 is European Pagan Memory Day, a day to commemorate the ancient roots of modern pagan religions.
This date was selected because it approximates the day when the sacred flame of the goddess Vesta in Rome was extinguished by decree of Theodosius I. Sacred flames continued to be smothered throughout Europe until 1388, when the sacred flame of the Baltic god Perkūnas was extinguished in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Today, we recall and celebrate the many expressions of traditional religions across ancient Europe. Let us also take pride in the efforts of modern revivalists and reconstructions to kindle those flames anew.
May all who offer light and prayers to the gods be blessed!

Veles is a god worshipped historically in Central, Eastern, and Southeast Europe, and North and Central Asia. He is associated with the earth and waters, the underworld, serpents, bears, magic, wealth, and cattle.
Veles’ recurrent battles with Perun, lord of the storm, create the changing seasons. As the bear, Veles is protector of herds and flocks. As Lord of the Underworld, he rules over a land of eternal spring, where fantastic creatures roam, and where birds migrate each winter. Jarilo, the god of vegetation, also spends the cold months in Veles’ realm.
Veles is the patron of merchants, livestock farmers, and musicians.
