Last night we said goodbye to our #tree. We recently found out the soil in our backyard has super-high levels of #lead -- a not uncommon phenomenon in #Baltimore. Complete soil replacement is expensive, but covering the soil, like with sod, creates an effective barrier from the poison in our dirt. But we had a shade problem. Sod needs sun, so our tree needed to go. ...which is sad, but Oliver will have a field of grass to play in. And more importantly, he'll be safe. So… thank you tree.
