Synopsis: You have unfortunately captured His Emperor’s gaze. Now, you are confined within his opulent ‘golden cage’.

Ah. You have underestimated his jealousy and expected too much mercy from your ‘loving’ husband. His name only sounds scathing and scorches your tongue.

You had thought that Zhongli would be content. Content with you finally getting along with his harem. With the other people who were all forced into a non-consensual poly relationship. Did he not dislike the way you continued to argue and breakdown from the stressful arguments? The conflicts? The pressure to be perfect and flawless, so the other consorts won’t target your weaknesses?

The heavily-locked door and boarded windows prove otherwise. It has been hours before he had let you out, and your face burns with shame as you’re forced to relieve your bladder with the pot, your ears picking up the stark rumbling of your stomach, the littlest noises reverberating in your under-stimulated ears. It feels wrong, odd, unsettling even, to not hear the usual regular bustling of the secluded jadeite palace. The sheer amount of staff, including your crowd of personal attendees, would at least produce frequent footsteps, either light, ginger steps or nervous rushes of swift thumps.
