Band Camp: Day 2

I'm still holding on but barely. As I sit and type my feet constantly check, and a metronome softly yet malevolently beats in my head. "1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and, 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and," I slowly whisper to myself over and over. I can't feel my feet. My lips hurt from pursing them around my mouthpiece for hours on end. My sock tan-lines grow more and more defined. Yet I'm still here. I'm still hanging on. And I'll do it all again less than twelve hours from now.

I survived my first day of band camp. (✿◠‿◠) everybody in band is fantastic and i'm looking forward to the rest of the week. now i get to go pass the fuck out.
