Honour Band Story
So in my second year going to honour band, there was a hockey tournament going on at around the same time so there were hockey kids in the same hotel as the band kids. On the last night before our concert, my roommates and I were getting ready for bed. (It was like 9:30 ish at night.(Curfew was at 10:00))
There was a knock at the door and I go to open it. My roommates and I assumed it would be a director or a chaperone telling us to go to bed.
So I open the door and standings there was a little blond boy, around like eleven probably. He looks at me and goes, “Have you seen my grandma?” At this point I’m totally confused because if you see a bunch of teenagers in a hotel room, your grammar probably isn’t in there.
Then the kid has the nerve to push past me and waltz into my hotel room and looks around, “Have you seen my grandma?” I kinda push the kid out and say, “No I haven’t seen your grandma.” I close the door and my roommates and I laugh for like ten minutes.
After laughing, we kinda calm down. Then there’s another knock at the door. I look through the peep hole and see blonde hair, (My band director has blond hair so I thought it was her.) I open the door and there’s another kid standing there and they were like, “Where’s my mom? Is my mom here?” My roommates are laughing in the background. I say awkwardly, “No I haven’t seen your mom.” I close the door and my roommates and I laughed for around half an hour.
We still joke about it today. (My Honour band trip was like three months ago.)

A short story about band
Our pep band was told to stop playing so much and at certain times and out of rebellion everyone just like sat down and pulled out phones and generally just lost interest in playing since we were offended. Anyways, fast forward like ten minutes. Half of us stood up and were kinda fiddling with our instruments. One of my friends was telling me how they chanted “chicken sandwich” at a game just for the heck of it and because they were hungry and in high school. So then she just kinda half yelled “chicken sandwich” and then we both half yelled “chicken sandwich” as a JOKE. Then half the band started yelling “chicken sandwich” we yelled it a good six times before the remaining student section suddenly whirled around and stared and we just stopped and went back to our phones and or just watching the game.
Don’t ask why it happened. I don’t know. I pray we don’t get in trouble and no one asks about it because I have no freaking answer as to why we went from doing nothing to chanting chicken sandwich at a University football game.
