PSA: Soap is Not Medication (POTW-Starter)
Oh god I can’t even believe I have to
The Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager asked me to remind folks of some things
So we’ve gotten some reports. from the FUCKING HOSPITAL local medical professionals that some people coming back Brimstone Spring are eating soap. Saying it has health benefits and showed the future.
This is a gentle PSA from one of your local pharmacists to to say:
Soap is not medicine
It is for sudding up your ass crack.
Not for your mouth.
Not even for swears.
The only future you will see is the inside of the restroom for the next 24 hours as your body tries to shit out the mistakes you put in it.
Thank you White Crest
Remember: Eat food and get prescriptions
Not Soap
~ Bannik ~ She started out as a bannik with a slight human form and then I remembered that I adore Pathologic and she slowly morphed into a half bannik and half Pathlogic OC. Still a lot to work out about her but I know she’s rather chill as long as you respect where she lives and follows her rules.
Bannik
The Bannik is a bathhouse spirit in Slavic mythology. Slavic bathhouses resemble saunas, with an inner steaming room and an outer changing room. A place where women gave birth and practiced divinations, the bathhouse was strongly endowed with vital forces. The third firing (or fourth, depending on tradition) was reserved for the Bannik, and, given his inclination to invite demons and forest spirits to share his bath, no Christian images were allowed lest they offend the occupants. If disturbed by an intruder while washing, the Bannik might pour boiling water over him, or even strangle him.
The Bannik had the ability to predict the future. One consulted him by standing with one's back exposed in the half-open door of the bath. The Bannik would gently stroke one's back if all boded well; but if trouble lay ahead, he would strike with his claws.

In Slavic mythology, Banniks are spirits who haunt banjas, public bathhouses similar to saunas. They usually appear as thin old men with shaggy beards.
Banjas are often seen as places endowed with vital forces, as women sometimes give birth in them. Banniks are able to predict the future, and are generally seen as dangerous. They consort with demons, and will burn, strangle or drown anyone who interrupts them while bathing.
