Malia walked by her father, his smile too big and his eyes sad. Her smiled slipped into a grimace and took Lydia’s hand to tug her up to her room.She pushed open her bedroom door to a sparce room--a bed in the corner, clothes in a pile on the floor. The only decorations, if you could call them that, were pictures of her friends pinned up to the wall with tacks. “Ta-da?” Malia turned to face Lydia and swung her door closed.
