they come in late to breakfast EVERYDAY and bucky makes apologies and small talk and steve sits there. with his goddamn sex hair. so confident in himself. and tonY slams his utensils on his plate and says "im all for free love but seriously you guys just let me soundproof your room"

fuck i can’t stop laughing ?? can you imagine the first time that happens there’s just this awkward, tense silence in the kitchen and everyone (probably just bruce and tony) stares at bucky and steve and then share silent glances with each other and tony loudly clears his throat over the rim of his mug of coffee

all the avengers stare @ steve and bucky over breakfast and steve is not embarrassed at all he is totally smug like "yeah i got fucked by a hot russian assassin what are u gonna do about it" but bruce is embarrassed enough for both of them oh gosh H

@ the spooning bucky was scared when he got back the his metal arm would affect their cuddling abilities and it would annoy steve but the first night bucky's back, really back, steve takes them into his bedroom and wraps bucky's arms around his chest and shrinks into them like he did when he was smaller and bucky sighs in relief and i am spontaneously combusting aaaHHHhhhHh

BRO IMAGINE BUCKY SMILING REALLY HUGE BECAUSE OF THE RELIEF AND THE HAPPINESS HE’S FEELING AND HE JUST HIDES HIS SMILE INTO THE HAIR ON THE TOP OF STEVE’S HEAD
