Posted @withrepost • @oryxphotography And we're back in Madagascar again today, starting a new tour with a scheduled trip. Focusing on the Morondava and Kirindy areas, we are expecting some great sightings on this mysterious island! While Morondava is also famous for its Avenue of Baobabs, which can tower at 30 metres in height, the Kirindy reserve is well known for its variety of lemur species such as Verreaux’s Sifaka, Red-tailed Sportive and Red-fronted Brown lemurs. Arguably the most sought-after species in the dry deciduous forest of Kirindy, however, is Madagascar’s largest predator, the Fosa. We will focus a lot of our attention on finding, viewing and photographing this, the largest and most famous mammalian carnivore on mainland Madagascar!
