So much fun hiking to Barbara Falls today. I'm glad Nicole invited me, as a last minute kind of thing. Those are sometimes the best. Too bad no one got a video of me falling in...yes, I fell in! I was taking the photo of Nicole pretending to fall in and backed up one too many steps to get the "perfect angle" and as I held my breath in anticipation of freezing cold water sweeping over my body, I got really confused because I didn't feel any cold water and I first thought, wow, these thermals are really doing a great job and then I thought, nope I should be under water and then I realized I hit a soft snowy bed right in the perfect spot to keep me from going all the way in. As my friends sprinted over to help me, all I could say is "Where did my phone go?" Gotta have your priorities, right? 😆 The falls were beautiful even in their partial frozen state.
