I was excited to get back to my “reward” today in between making our family masks and even showered first thing so that I felt ready to go. Mostly, I have iron seams open and top stitched. I also removed a board installed at the top of the windows for valances and put more into the closet, making the sewing room even nicer. But, I’m afraid that I am not as ready for work as Barbie is. It was a good thing that I left this fabric out to tempt me back into the sewing room. It led me to get all the mask fabric and interfacing cut out for our family’s masks. The next night, I felt that I should be working on them, but it didn’t happen. No making did, which is rare. Today, I at least got the interfacing ironed on and am sitting at the machine. Did I mention that practical sewing isn’t my favorite? I’ve been rewarding myself with breaks of tracing patterns from the Barbie sewing book. Originally, most of this fabric was bought for Barbie clothes, but I really needed something motivating to get into this project.
