So a funny story. This was time the General of The ROC, @beaniesigelsp met The General, Barb Sigel. Around '92-'93 after hearing one of my Aunt's co-wokers remark, man she's like a "Little General" I started calling her "The General" due to her general “bossy”, yet loving and good hearted nature and the fact that she commanded respect, backing down from no one. That went from the hardest criminals to Boxing World Champion, Benard Hopkins. Flash forward, to '98-'99 Beanie Sigel is rolling with The ROC and is that bul in Philly. As we all know he would be dubbed "The General of The ROC" So me being me, attempting to make everything Hip-Hop centric my aunt Barbara Moore became, The General, Barb Sigel, once again the name stuck. Flash forward even further to 2005 and Beanz is on trail for attempted murder case. While the trial was on recess Beanz went to eat at Reading Terminal Market, Barb was also there on lunch. She sees Beanz and his entourage, walks right up to them and says, with the biggest motherly smile, "Hey Beanie Sigel, I'm Barb Sigel". Now this dude is on trial for his life and all he could do is bust out laughing, gave her a hug and said nice to meet you Barb Sigel" . As for the trial, after 5 days of deliberation the jury was hung and the judge declared a mistrial. The case was never retried. Barb went on to continue her reign as the Matriarch of our family.
