I do think there is a common theme through each of the novels, however. And that theme is "grace, grace, and more grace." My characters are always flawed, some even downright wicked. There has yet to be a hero or heroine who saves the day through innate goodness or worth. From my spoiled Princess Una, to my cowardly Prince Lionheart, to my selfish Bard Eanrin, to my subjugated Maid Starflower, my characters are all weak instruments . . . and their stories are all stories of grace.
